Our primary goals in collecting information are to provide and improve our Site, features, and content, and to administer your use of our services, including without limitation your use of Pricelock Connect and Pricelock Marketplace. The purpose of Pricelock Connect is to connect industry professionals and to allow those professionals to share contact information, listing information and a wide range of information relating to the energy industry or related industries. As such, part of our service will involve us or our third party partners using and sharing your contact information with others in the appropriate industry.
User Account Information/Personally Identifiable Information: We receive and store any information you knowingly provide to us. When you register with us through the Site and during your use of the Site, we will ask you for personally identifiable information, which is information about you that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Information”), such as: your name, company or organization name, title, e-mail address, postal address, telephone numbers, and, if you sign up for a fee-based membership, billing information, including a credit card number and other financial billing information. If you contact us, we may also keep a record of that correspondence or communication, including any Personal Information contained therein.
We may use your Personal Information to contact you and provide services to you. We may use your Personal Information to provide you with a personalized experience on our Site and to communicate with you through periodic messages regarding new service features and related products and services provided by our partners, events, and other information and notices we believe you may find interesting or useful.
We may communicate with you if you’ve provided us the means to do so. For example, if you’ve given us your email address, we may send you promotional email offers on behalf of other businesses, or email you about your use of the Services. Also, we may receive a confirmation when you open an email from us. This confirmation helps us make our communications with you more interesting and improve our services.
Automatic Usage Information: As part of administering the Site, our servers may automatically collect usage information. This information may include the type of browser you are using, the type of operating system your computer uses, the domain name of your Internet service provider, your Internet Protocol (IP) address, pages you visited on our Site, and other Site usage patterns.
We may generate statistical information regarding our user-base and use it to analyze our Site or business. We also may use users' data in the aggregate to improve our features, content, and data-processing and Site algorithms. Also we may use the automatic usage information collected to maintain, secure and improve our Site, and to understand your categories when visiting our Site.
User Data: You may also be permitted to upload your own information, data or other content, to the Site in the course of using the Site. You agree to and accept full responsibility for obtaining all permissions, consents, and rights necessary to uploading any such information to the Site.
We take organizational, technical and administrative measures designed to protect the information you provide through the Site that is under our control. For example, only employees who need access to Personal Information to perform specific tasks are granted such access and all employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the Internet or data storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so as a result, while we strive to protect your information, we cannot ensure the security of information you transmit to us, we transmit to you, or that we store. If at any time you believe that your interaction with the Site is no longer secure, please let us know immediately.
Further, if you register on the Site, your registration information will be password-protected. You agree that you will be responsible for all actions taken under an authenticated login. Accordingly, we recommend that you select a strong password and do not divulge that password to anyone. Also, be certain to sign out of your Pricelock account and close your browser window when you have finished.
You may review, update, correct or delete the Personal Information you provide to us by contacting us. If you completely delete all such information, then your account may become deactivated. If you would like us to delete your account in our system, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with a request that we delete your Personal Information from our database. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to honor your request. We may retain an archived copy of your records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
If you wish to modify your preferences with respect to emails regarding a Pricelock product or service, please follow the instructions in the email regarding modifying your settings for that particular service. Or, for certain marketing communications from us, please follow the opt-out instructions included in that communication, where applicable, or notify us by email at email@example.com with the word "remove" in the subject header, and we will remove your name from that email recipient list. You may not, however, opt out of necessary service, operational or account maintenance notices or other administrative and transactional notices required for your use of the Site (including, without limitation, the emails you may receive from other users or from Pricelock in regard to Listings you post or respond to during your use of the Pricelock Connect Service).
This Site and our services are not directed towards users under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from users under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child under the age of 13 has provided us with Personal Information without their consent, he or she should contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete such information from our files.
