High winds produce scattered Ohio power outages

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Strong winds are causing power outages in parts of the state including more than 6,000 customers without electricity in southwest Ohio.

Mansfield recorded a gust of wind topping 50 mph Friday afternoon, while a 64-foot brick smokestack was toppled on the campus of Otterbein University in central Ohio.
